In order to further improve the level of mining safety supervision in Hubei Province, strengthen the support of local science and technology, Mar. 17th, accompanied by LI Wei (president assistant of CAS Wuhan Branch), chief engineering of Hubei Provincial Safety Prodution Supervision Authority, ZHA Yuanhong visited IRSM. Deputy director (presiding) XUE Qiang, party secretary, deputy director LU Kaiyang, deputy director SHENG Qian, relevant department heads and research group members attended the meeting. 

In the meeting, ZHA Yuanhong listened to the general introduction of IRSM, especially focused on the major engineering disaster control technology, it included prevention and control of rockburst in deep engineering, online monitoring and operation stability evaluation technology of tailings reservoir safety, disaster control technology for earth-discharge yard in mine and the high value utilization technology and other related industrial waste residue content and its engineering application. 

ZHA Yuanhong said IRSM's research and engineering application gave a strong impression to her, and hoped IRSM could recommend experts to Safety Prodution Supervision Authority. Also both sides suggested carrying out regular consultation in the future, so that IRSM could full play its talents and technology advantages. At the same time, they were also keen to have cooperation in several aspects, such as research and application on deep mine rockburst, comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum, comprehensive utilization of metals tailings and tailings reservoir safety stability evaluation, the application of different geological exploration technology in mining engineering stability, and tailings safety risk analysis in Hubei Province. 

This visit lays the foundation for promoting the two sides long-term cooperation, also provides technical support for Hubei Province's coal mining safety supervision, risk prevention, the mining area resources recycling, waste storage in the future.
